We specialize in custom work and welcome your design and size variations. For cable/rod suspended systems, we provide acrylic frames and panels in both standard and custom sizes, up to 36” x 48”. These are precision laser-cut with exceptional polished edge quality and can be fabricated in a range of finishes, including clear, P99 non-glare, OP3 UV-filtering, or Impact-Resistant (Duraplex). Our cable/rod systems are also compatible with a variety of other substrates, such as fabric, vinyl, PVC, Styrene, or aluminum composites, whether they are flexible, semi-rigid, or rigid. By utilizing our cable/rod hardware and graphics printed on these substrates, you can create professional graphic presentations for a wide range of display applications. Cable/Rod Suspended Acrylic Frames — Standard Sizes
The chart displays the most commonly used sizes for acrylic frames in cable/rod display systems, tailored for standard poster-inserts in the small to medium format range. While many other custom sizes and combinations are available, it’s important to note that acrylic frames/panels are supplied in a few different styles:
- Acrylic Frame With Holes for M4 Studs — Supplied with 3mm (1/8”) thick clear back piece and 3mm (1/8”) thick non-glare acrylic front. The poster/graphic is surrounded by a 1-1/4” clear border on all sides, making the actual frame size larger than the insert size. Standard insert sizes are 11″ x 17″, 14″ x 22″, 16″ x 20″, and 18″ x 24”. These frames are compatible with cable/rod side-grip panel supports or top/bottom panel supports. The top/bottom panel supports are recommended for panels 16″ x 20” or smaller.
- Acrylic Frame Without Holes — Supplied with 3mm (1/8”) thick clear back piece and 3mm (1/8”) thick non-glare acrylic front. These are true size acrylic panels available in a few standard sizes such as 11″ x 17″, 14″ x 22″, 16″ x 20″, 18″ x 18”, 18″ x 24”, 22″ x 28”, 24″ x 24”, 24″ x 36”, 36″ x 36”, and 30″ x 40”. These frames are compatible with cable/rod panel supports with stud-caps.
Our cable/rod display systems offer a variety of options for mounting acrylic frames/panels, with fittings available in a standard satin chrome finish. Additionally, other cable/rod components and installation accessories, such as ceiling-to-floor or wall-to-wall tracks, are available to provide additional design freedom and flexibility.
- Side-Grip Panel Supports — Use these supports to suspend acrylic frames/panels without holes from the sides, allowing for both portrait and landscape orientations.
- Top/Bottom Panel Supports — Utilize these supports to suspend acrylic frames/panels without holes from the top and bottom, suitable for panels wider than the distance between cables or up to 1/4″ thick substrates. They can be used in either portrait or landscape orientation.
- Panel Supports with Stud-Caps — These supports are used to suspend acrylic frames/panels drilled for M4 studs. The panels are placed in front of the cables, and supports are available for 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ thick substrates. They can be used in either portrait or landscape orientation.
Cable/Rod Suspended Acrylic Frame Thickness — Front/Back Panel Combinations
The recommended combined thickness for acrylic frames is determined by the frame size and ranges from 6mm (1/4″) to 9mm (3/8″). Smaller frames are well-suited to a 6mm combined thickness, while larger frames may benefit from a 9mm combined thickness. Our selection of frame grade acrylic frames and panels ranges in thickness from 3mm to 6mm and is available in clear or P99 non-glare finishes. The acrylic frames and panels are offered predrilled for cable/rod support fittings with M4 stud-cups, or without holes. For non-drilled frames or panels, utilize side supports or top/bottom grippers for support. Acrylic panels provide exceptional clarity similar to glass, are half the weight, more impact-resistant than glass, and meet the standards of the most demanding framing applications.
Graphic Printing and Mounting — Rigid Substrate Options
Our framing and mounting services enhance the durability and longevity of your posters and graphic prints. Choose from a variety of substrates to suit the intended use and display duration:
- Acrylic Frames — Protect and showcase your prints effortlessly, allowing for simple updates and frame reuse.
- Acrylic Panels — These sturdy, lightweight panels have a polished edge finish and are highly popular for interiors.
- PVC (Sintra) — A widely-used, waterproof, and rigid plastic with a smooth matte finish, suitable for various mounting methods.
- Diabond — A lightweight composite with a polyethylene core, flanked by two thin aluminum sheets, known for its smooth surface.
Cable/Rod Suspended Fabric or Vinyl Banners — Standard Sizes
The chart displays the most commonly used sizes for vinyl banner graphics with cable/rod display systems. When using cable/rod suspension systems, there are specific limitations for banner sizes. Our standard sizes for vinyl banner graphics, printed on 16 oz matte block-out vinyl, include widths of 24″, 36″, 42″, and 48″, with a height of up to 84”. The largest graphic holders or rod hangers that can be used with our cable/rod systems are up to 60” wide. Standard banner sizes are as follows:
- 24” Width — Available in 24” x 48”, 24” x 60”, 24” x 72”, and 24” x 84”.
- 36” Width — Available in 36” x 48”, 36” x 60”, 36” x 72”, and 36” x 84”.
- 42” Width — Available in 42” x 48”, 42” x 60”, 42” x 72”, and 42” x 84”.
- 48” Width — Available in 48” x 48”, 48” x 60”, 48” x 72”, and 48” x 84”.
Utilize our premium quality cable/rod display systems for a wide range of suspended applications, including ceiling-to-floor, above-counter, wall-to-wall, or rail/track suspensions. Our cable/rod display systems offer versatile options for mounting fabric or vinyl banner signs, with fittings available in standard satin chrome or natural stainless steel finishes:
- Cable/Rod Suspended Graphic Holders — Utilize the cable/rod fixing kits and fittings to suspend flexible or semi-rigid banner signs using snap-on aluminum banner/graphic holders.
- Cable/Rod Suspended Hanger — Utilize the cable/rod fixing kits and fittings to suspend flexible fabric or vinyl banner signs using horizontal rods (banner signs require top and bottom pole pockets to accommodate a 10mm diameter rod).
Our aluminum rails, complete with a clear plastic insert, end caps, and P02 boss for cable/rod mounting, are available in widths of 24, 36, 42, 48, and 60 inches. These rails can securely hold substrates up to 80 pt (3/32″, 2 mm) thick. For vertical cable and rod installations, additional fittings such as CS03, CS03-3, RS03, or RS03-10 are required. These rails are ideal for supporting flexible or semi-rigid lightweight graphic substrates up to 80 pt (3/32″, 2 mm) thick. Please note that two holders (top and bottom) are required to hang a graphic.
Horizontal Rod Hangers — Fitting Type and Mounting Options
For mounting banner displays, our 1.5mm and 3mm stainless steel cable suspension system provides the most suitable hardware options, including the use of 10mm horizontal rods to support flexible fabric or vinyl banner graphics.
- 1.5mm Stainless Steel Cable System — Use the 1.5mm cables and CR110/SS or CR110L/SS fittings to suspend banners from ceiling-to-floor, wall-to-wall, or by utilizing rails/tracks with horizontal rod hangers (banner signs require top and bottom pole pockets to accommodate a 10mm diameter rod).
- 3mm Stainless Steel Cable System — Use the 3mm cables and CR310L/SS fittings to suspend banners from ceiling-to-floor or by utilizing rails/tracks with horizontal rod hangers (banner signs require top and bottom pole pockets to accommodate a 10mm diameter rod).
Our acrylic poster frames are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate most standard poster-insert formats. They are perfect for displaying posters, prints, photos, or fine art reproductions by placing them between two pieces of acrylic. Each set includes a standard clear acrylic back and a non-glare (non-reflective) acrylic front panel.
